Help us launch Venni on Android
Before an app can go public, Google Play asks for a test with real people using it for two weeks. Join the test, get the app early, and help Venni reach everyone.
Why use the app?
The website only tells you about changes by email, or when you check the page. The app sends an instant notification to your phone:
- "You're in." A spot opened up and you've moved off the waitlist. Find out right away, not hours later.
- Someone joined or left your event. See who's coming as it happens, without checking the list.
- Event changed or cancelled. A new time, a new place, or plans called off: you'll know before you head out.
How to join
Takes about two minutes. Use the same Google account in every step, the one your Android phone uses for Google Play.

Join the testers group
Open the group and tap Join group. This is how Google Play knows you're a tester. You can choose how many group emails you get, including none.

Opt in to the test
Tap Become a tester. If the page says the app isn't available, wait a few minutes after joining the group and refresh.

Install Venni
Open this link on your Android phone and tap Install. On a computer, you can install it to your phone from the same page. The app can take up to an hour to show up after opting in.

Use it for two weeks
Please keep the app installed for at least 14 days. Google checks that testers really use it, so this is what helps most:
- Sign in and allow notifications when asked.
- Create an event for something real, like a game, a dinner or a meetup, and share the link with your group.
- Join a friend's event, or leave one and join again.
- Open the app every few days.

Found a bug, got confused, or have an idea? Email the testers group at venni-android-test@googlegroups.com. A screenshot helps a lot. Every message is read, and fixes go out to testers first.
Good to know
- I have an iPhone.
- The test is Android only for now. Venni works in any phone browser at venni.app, and we're working on an iPhone app too.
- Do my friends need the app?
- No. Anyone can join your events from the link in a browser. The app is for people who want notifications on their phone.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. The app is free, with no ads.
- Can I leave the test?
- Any time, from the opt-in page. Your Venni account and events stay as they are, because they're the same account as on the website.
